Joey Manduano, D.O., F.A.C.O.S., graduated from the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in 1973.
He continued his internship and education in general surgery at Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He completed his full General Surgery Residency training program in 1978.
After eleven years of general surgery practice, Dr. Manduano completed a full plastic surgical training program
which began in Philadelphia, covering hand and general reconstructive surgery. This was followed by a Burn Fellowship at New York Medical College, Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla,
New York. This included total burn care, microvascular surgery, cleft lip, and palate reconstruction. The director of the
program, Dr. Roger Salisbury, was the president of the American Burn Association at that time. The next phase of fellowship
was at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City. It involved the Head and Neck service working with Dr.
Jatin Shah. He worked also with Dr. David Hidalgo, one of two plastic surgeons on staff, with emphasis on immediate and
delayed breast reconstruction and microvascular surgery for limb preservation, (over 1,000 breast cancer cases a year
are treated surgically at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center). He finished his fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital
in Manhattan. The training consisted of breast reduction, hand surgery, facial trauma reconstruction and cleft lip and
palate repair. Microvascular tissue transfer was done with Dr. Elliott Rose. After his fellowship, Dr. Manduano completed
a Cosmetic Fellowship with the renowned plastic surgeon Steven Hoefflin, M.D., F.A.C.S., in Santa Monica, California.
His expertise encompasses face lifts, rhinoplastic surgery, breast reduction and augmentation, and liposuction.
His patients' names are privileged information, but patients during the Fellowship reported by the media included
many well-known celebrities.
Dr. Manduano is a Fellow of the American
College of Osteopathic Surgeons and is Board-Certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is Board-Certified
in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Board-Certified in General Surgery, and is a associate clinical professor
