INSURANCE MATTERS
In most cases, aesthetic or cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. In cases of functional or reconstructive
surgery, some fees may be covered by your insurance carrier.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ YOUR INSURANCE POLICY CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHAT CHARGES, IF ANY, ARE
COVERED BY YOUR CARRIER.
It is the patient's responsibility to confirm coverage, the amount of deductibles, coinsurance, eligible procedures,
surgical facilities and hospitals, second opinion requirements, and so forth. Our office will assist you.
If you plan to bill your insurance carrier for an eligible operative procedure, please bring your insurance card at
the time of your initial consultation.
We are not participating providers in any insurance plan due to limitations on reimbursement. Insurance regulations
do not allow us to adjust deductibles or coinsurance payments. It is your responsibility to satisfy these requirements.
This will be discussed with you during your consultation.
Our staff will assist in billing your insurance carrier for eligible procedures. After your surgery, you will be
contacted by a member of our Insurance Department to discuss your surgical procedure, amount of charges, and prepayments
you have made, and your financial responsibility or overpayment (by insurance).
Our office cannot be responsible for following up disputed claims. These matters must be resolved between you and your
insurance carrier.
Please call our offices at 749-5591.
