Lip Enhancement
Procedure
Liquid fat grafts can be repeated but usually are not recommended any sooner than three to six months. The liquid
fat injection procedure can be performed under local intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. This depends on your
preference, the doctor's recommendations and whether it is performed alone or along with other procedures, (i.e., facelift,
breast surgery, etc.). Independent of the type of anesthesia, a long term local anesthetic is always injected to control
any discomfort after the procedure. Because only 1/3 ounce to 1 ounce is removed at a time, one should not expect
significant reduction in the "donor" area. This would be best served by a formal liposuction procedure.
