Lip Enhancement and Verafil
Common Questions
What can I expect after?
Fat injections, whether into the lips, cheeks, chin, or other areas, will show swelling and some bruising.
The majority of the swelling usually resolves in seven to fourteen days, as well as the bruising. There will
always be a slight to moderate degree of lumpiness for two to four weeks which is more perceptible to touch than sight.
We usually recommend that you withhold your judgment about correction for at least six weeks.
What are the instructions prior to surgery?
You should refrain from taking aspirin or aspirin-containing products for two weeks before and two weeks after
surgery to decrease bruising.
Verafil Saline Implants for Lips
Common Questions
What should I expect immediately following the procedure?
Treatment results are visible immediately. Swelling, bruising or some discomfort may occur. There may be tightness
at the implantation site.
With the first week, what can I expect?
Most bruising and swelling should disappear so much so that many people will not be able to see the side effects
of having had the procedure done.
Three to four months after the procedure what is seen?
Although you may always be able to feel the implant, softening is anticipated over time. Healing is complete.
Is Verafil for fine superficial lines?
No. Collagen injection or some form of resurfacing may be recommended.
Can the implant move?
It typically stays exactly where it was placed with minimal if any chance of migration.
